~*~Picking her way down slippery rocks she shivered as a puddle of sludge splashed on her pillars. Harks pricked at the sounds of other euines. She picked another path to get farther into the terra. Wandering blindly by herself she found herself at a halt. She raised her tiara searching for the thing that stopped her and found a waterfall. Throwing her maw up in sheer jubilance she stepped into the shallows. Mist from the dropping water darkened her golden shimmer as she opened her lips to show a straight line of pearls trying to catch the droplets.~*~

Zanzibar followed behind Cornelia. He laughed inside, watching her play in the waterfall. The water fell and misted, swirling in clusters on the bottom. Even ten feet away, the mist sprayed his facade. Orbs focused on her while she frolicked. Daggers moved towards the water's edge. Nape lowered, his mug touching the refreshing coolness of the lake. Esophogus(sp?) took in huge gulps of aqua before he waded in and observed the area about him.

~*~The loud rumbling of the falls blocked out the sound of his approach. Only until her reached her view did she realize he was around. Zanzibar...lord and master here. Turning her tiara she looked over at him. A smile tugged the lips of her maw as he gasped for the mist.~*~
Hello Zanzibar...I actually found this place..
~*~ Considering that the reason why she was here was because she had gotten lost in the first place it was lucky she got here.~*~

The stag smirked and lifted his fores in unison to plunge through the river. harks flicked back and lids flickered as the droplets splashed everywhere. The water splashed him wherever he went. Tassles dripped now, banner flowing with the current. A horsefly nipped at his back and he whirled his nape around to bite the creature. The stag's coat had grown darker.
I am glad you are enjoying yourself. A mischevious look filled is' facade and he pawed the water. The agua splashed and flew towards her. The stag watched and laughed before going as fast as he could towards the waterfall. Figure dissapeared behinds it's towering wall. A cave was hidden behind the falls, and he waited to see if she would follow, hooves clattering on the rocks.

~*~ A thoroughly soaked wheat tinged Cornelia giggled. As the tsunami made its way towards her she tossed her tiara. A quizzical expression graced her countanence as she stared at Zanzibar's retreating rump. As he disappeared behind the falls. A few seconds passed before she realized the nature of the game. Prancing delicately over the rocks she finally reached him. ~*~
~*~My liege this is hardly appropriate behavior for a king.~*~
~*~ With that she nipped him on his nape and ran through the falls to evade capture.~*~

Minx appeared in the falls and the lord's harks twitched back and forth. Daggers pawed the moist stone.
Ah, but as King, and a young one at that, I do what I want. Is'nape stung with her nape. Vocals emitted a whinny and the lord rose up on his hinds, battering the air before following the flicka. Charging bulk's pistons clattered on the rock and then plunged into the river. Sprays and mists flew everywhere and the stag lost visualy contact of the golden-pelted mare.

~*~ Her quickly darkening pelt shimmered with the sparkling water spraying from the ware fall. His words suprised her and her crown jerked skyward. Escaping capture narrowly she stumbled on the rocks of the waterfall. Picking her body up again giggling at her folly she shook herself spraying aqua over her companion~*~
~*~You didn't see that.~*~
~*~ A jubilant trumpet sounded form her voice box as a bunny hopped by. Pushing carbon from her nostrils she left the water for earth. Lowering her muzzle to the rabbit she sniffed it cautiously. Deciding that this was a nice rabbit she proceeded to lick it.~*~
~*~Bunnies don't taste so good.~*~

Hot summer sun beat relentlessly down on Bethlehem's sable bodice. Seeking respite from the heat, she wandered from where she grazed on a patch of succulent dandelions towards the falls. Nothing would feel better on this day than a romp through the aqua. It was when she came into sight of the falls that she caught a glimpse of a strange cream femme as well as her lord Zanzibar a fair distance further away. Beth kicked up her heels and two-beat towards the newcomer. For once she decided it best if she actually play nice with the stranger.
Greetings, flicka. Greetings little hippity-hoppity one she said jokingly to the bunny at the femme's hooves. We are Bethlehem. We wish to extend thee our welcome and we also wish to inquire as to thy dubbance.

~*~A crown cocked slightly at the approach of the other femme. She searched the other's body language for threatening poses and found none. Eyelashes fluttered downward and she resumed her usual carefree nature. Only half paying attention to this Bethlam, all she caught was the blessing and the use of a "royal we." She lowered her orbs to the cottentail below and nudged it, allowing it to leave. Suddenly she resumed attention and was startled when she found Bethleham looking at her.~*~
~*~What? Em um Cornelia nice to meet you.~*~
~*~ A little unnerved by meeting a stanger she turned her stare to the grass.~*~

Cornelia? repeated Bethlehem, as if rolling the name over her tongue might help her judge the character of the equine that bore it. She bobbed her diadem to the youth in acknowlegement. Wavy threads brushed her crest with the motion. Be not so hasty in deciding which meetings are pleasant and which are not. First impressions seldom stick. The words, a once customary greeting for the mare, were spoke before she even realized she had voiced them. She was instantly angry with herself for sounding rude and arrogant when she really was trying her best to behave modestly. Chocolate orbs cast their gaze to the ground in embarassment. Forgive us for our lack of tact and taste. Let not this slip of the tongue damage thy perception of us.

~*~ The comments this femme made confused her. She hadn't voiced any opinions but soon, with a shake of the ribbons adorning her boa she cleared negative thoughts. Her demeanor allowed her the ability to lose sadness and anger leaving her, somewhat stupidly, pleasant. Thankyou for the advice Bethleham. A grin tugged at her maw and her audits perked forward. A frog croaked nearby and she followed it with her eyes as it made an arch over the stream. Her brain turned back to the maiden behind her. 'Tis ok my friend, I do not mind sharp words.

A brief flash of surprise flared in her lamps, but quickly faded into the dark depths of her optics. It had been forever and an age since another had referred to her as friend. Long ago the onyx femmora had friends, but they turned out to be traitors in disguise. A friend is one that causes only pain, she said in a barely audible whisper. Realizing that she had spoken aloud, Bethlehem hastily cleared her throat. Thou art much too kind to excuse my faults, little seraph.

~*~Effervescent. A word that walked hand hand with Cornelia. At times of awkwardness this trait was useful and prevented anykind of negativity from entering her brain. The dark raveness possed heavey hooded lids that quickly concelled a fleeting thought that light them up. Posessing enough good hearing to decipher one word from the low mumble, pain. Pain wasn't something she was accustumed to but she understood well enough what she meant. Faults I have not seen yet and therefore cannot judge. Beth, unless you wish to remain in the shadows, you must leave your faults behind. Her age didn't hamper wisdom that rarely appeared beneath the blonde facade. She didn't reveal knowledge before it needed to be but, if it didn't the only word to use was Effervescent.~*~

Talc flicka spoke with a measure of wisdom in her youthful voice. Beth, however, wasn't inclined to listen to anyone's advice. She raised her crania and arched her boa in a proud stance. Then we must remain in the shadows. We cannot nor will we forsake our faults. They be as much a part of us as the hide that covers our armature. To lose our faults is to lose a bit of ourself. Just because one does not love the chill of winter doesn't mean that is is not still a necessay part of life. So it is with the more unpleasant asspects of self.

~*~ Blinking at the thought that went into the speech she heard, she nodded. The other fairy had a similar old soul feel about her. Cornelia now had someone to spar with, to keep her wits up. But, to let them drown our every movement is a fault that is worse then forgetting them. You must walk in the future, not in the past. Smiling inspite of the seriousness, she realized the compatibility and the differences. They say that opposites attract, and it seemed, in the contrast of dark and light, they did.
