Aleshanee yawned and stretched before flopping down on the soft thin blanket of snow. She cast her gaze on Allanon's dark form. He lay pefectly still in the snow, eyes and ears focused on some unknown point in the distance. If it weren't for the faint plumes of steam that escaped from his nostrils you would think he were a regal sculpture molded from shadows. Oh, how Aleshanee despised him.
Lousy stick in the mud alpha. Does nothing but stare down the trail, day after day, waiting for them. When is that old brute going to give up and start having fun again?
She heaved a heavy sigh and rolled over, all four paws waving in the air as she dug her back into the snow. She grunted in pleasure, sneezing when a few renegade snowflakes tickled her nose. Aleshanee just lay there staring up at the snow laden boughs of pine trees, wondering if she should pounce Allanon or wander of in search of vermin for her lunch.

Faded's eyes drooped, form drifting to the left as she padded gently through the powdery ice that adorned the ground in an airy sheet. The gait paused as she faltered and fell into the snow. It was comforting, and she had fallen more to laziness of the winter and exhaustion rather than an injury or worse. Her muzzle crinkled as the cold stuff found its way to cocoon around her. Soon Faded was engulfed in the stuff, and like the reaper she sprung out in frustration and continued her trek to find the place where the sent of the alpha and the omega in her pack drifted from. It was not that she had left them, but she had drifted off for a little while without connection. Without warning. It would be like their leader to mope, and Aleshanee to be insanely frustrated to the point of chasing snowflakes.
Eyes rolled and a small grunt escaped her as the black wolf with sage eyes imagined the sight of the smallest member bouncing around. She could picture Allanon glaring at her and then turning away.
It had been days too since she had last seen Seika. However, the other darkling was closer to the pack than she, and had remained during the nights, if not the days.

Allanon tensed, quivering with energy. He sensed someone approaching. There was no scent, no sound, just a tugging at the edges of his consciousness that told him of a nearby presence. He gave a quiet, mournful whine. So caught up in watching and waiting that he paid no mind to the ever rambunctious russet thorn in his side.
He gave a yelp of surprise as two paws and quite a bit of weight slammed into his back. Hot breath flowed over fur as sharp teeth grasped his ear and tugged. His yelp quickly turned into a snarl as he surged quickly to his feet, causing the creature on his back to lose its balance and drop to the snow. It released his ear as it gave a shrill yip. An annoyingly familiar yip that could only belong to the omega.

A white she-wolf had caught the scent of the black alpha. She hadn't seen him in quite a while. What surprised her was that she wanted to see him. So off she went to find him. When she reached the male, she saw another female play attack him. The wolf padded over to the alpha. She sat down infront of him, a smile that was half amused and half smirk was plastered on her face. It was Tala. Her pelt shone in the light, with every hair in place. As always. Hello Allanon. I see you have found someone more bothersome than me. Tala laughed. Her grin was like always, teasing and sarcastic. The she-wolf looked over Allanon's shouder. She didn't recongnise the other female. She was a small one, red in hue. She seemed young. Tala gave Allanon a questioning gaze.

Allanon had been standing over the meek looking omega, lips curled back to reveal glistening white fangs as he growled down at her. She lay perfectly still, soft cream colored belly exposed to him in total submission. One of the few times the energetic female had ever been completely still and still be fully conscious. The growls abruptly died when Tala's voice rang out, surprise at her presence quieting his own voice. The second time in minutes he had been caught unawares. Sable brute took a step back, as much to allow Aleshanee a chance to get up as to better see Tala. Alabaster fae looked as radient as ever, pelt shimmering like snow. He returned her sarcastic grin.
"And hello to you, Princess. You know, I had to search high and low, scouring this countryside, but I finally found someone who's skills of annoyance surpass even yours. Her name is Aleshanee."
Aleshanee, at mention of her name, slowly rolled to her feet and crept closer to the stranger. She remained half hidden behind the protective form of her alpha. She stood on bent legs with head and tail hung low, ears plastered against her skull, as sign of her submission. This female was older and stronger than her and the omega was not one to want to provoke a fight.
"Hello. It is a pleasure to meet you, Princess."

[Awww! That is just so cute!!! "...pleasure to meet you, Princess." AWEHNESS!!!]
Three scents, familiar to her, yet unfamiliar all the same drifted across the chill wind that turned the droplets of water in her fur to ice. Her eyes became slits as she shook the ice away, snarling quietly in frustration. Orbs took on the glimmer of the sun against snow as she padded towards the three. In her mind she pictured their interactions, and secretly wondered where the other dark fem had disappeared to. It had been only a day since she had seen the alpha of her pack, and the same with Shanee The same could not be said for Faded and this Tala wolf.
That, however, was beyond the point.

The white fem watched and was slightly amazed at the timidness of the other female. Her eyes turned back to Allanon. Saw the surprise in his eyes. A grin spread across her face at the alpha's words, and he hadn't forgot her nickname. Tala burst out laughing when Aleshanee called her princes. A twinkle of humor glimmered in her eyes still after she quit laughing. You can call me Tala. Allanon just gave me the nickname when I first came here. Tala said. She had been a princess once, back when. She however didn't want to think about that, her eyes expressing some of the pain she had endoured with those memories. Not wanting to show weakness, Tala ducked her head down to give a lick to her chest. That gave her enough time to recover herself, and for the sarcasti gleam to return.

Shanee startled a bit at the sudden fit of laughter from the new femme but quickly broke into a huge grin. It had been too long since she had heard laughter. She started speaking a mile a minute, words often slurring together as they tumbled out.
"Tala! I'm sorry, Tala. I'll remember your name. Your right name. How would you know if a name were wrong? Oh, I am so glad you are here! You laugh! Allanon doesn't laugh. He broods. Broody broody alpha, no fun at all. You will stick around, won't you? Please say you will! Its so dull with only him for company."
The broody broody alpha gave a tired sigh and shook his head in unspoken apology for the young femme's energy. Tala would soon learn that this overgrown whelp's tongue was as lively as the rest of her.

Charcoal eyes were laced with a hidden amusement as she neared them enough to hear voices and laughter. The emotions quickly faded and her optics hardened, ears perked up and alert for any other movement. A sniff at the air scent only the three scents at her, and she inwardly sighed. It would seem that Faded is not here. But my... the alpha and that silly omega pup are, along with the alpha's little Princess. Hush! Such thoughts do not become you... they are a distraction... such as the hunger that plagues us under the days and nights of the winter moons. At the thought of hunger her stomach groaned. Seika nearly snarled in protest, but bid herself not to as she closed on the group.
"Allanon, Tala, Aleshanee." She addressed them in order of rank, at least in her view. A nod of her head showed a non-verbal greeting as she paused a decent, but comforatable for her, ways from them. "Faded has not returned." It was more a statement than a question, but held an inquiring tone all the same. Her scent was not evident. The femme, Seika, already knew the answer.

Tala blinked, she never knew that one could talk so fast. A smile touched the corner of her mouth, amusement brimming in her deep eyes. Tala sighed dramaticly. Of course I'll stay. It's glad to have someone who want's me here. Tala said, tossing a teasing smile Allanon's way. Her line of sight cought the sight of another black wolf. She was one of the newer ones, Seika. Something about that female chilled her slightly, but Tala smiled slightly at the female. Her version of a smile. Tala then turned her attention back to Allanon, waiting to see if he woud greet yet another one of his females.

A quiet chuckle preceeded Allanon's reply to the snowy fae's teasing comment. "Drat. I thought I was almost rid of you. The pup just had to invite you to stay, didn't she?" His grin faded to a more sober expression as he returned Seika's acknowledging nod. Shanee settled on her haunches and did her best to imitate the aloof nod the two sable wolves performed. She didn't feel much like pouncing the newest member of the pack; Seika made her nervous. She watched with a very limited amount of interest as Allanon spoke with the dark femme."Seika. Welcome back. There is still no sign of Faded. I am surprised you wonder about her whereabouts. I didn't think the two of you were all that close."

"Mmm..." She said no words in reply to him, nor did she show evidence that she truly cared for his statements. It had been a question, nothing more. The only closer she was to Faded than with the rest of the pack was because they had gone in the opposite direction in a previous hunt, alone. The other dark fem interested her. She mentally willed him to make no mistake, they were not close. Seika was not close to any of them.
A flick of her tail showed her slight disinterest in the statement. "No scent." Of Faded, she meant. There had been no scent of her where she had wandered, nor did one seep from the gathering of this portion of the pack. It was only note of that for why she had made the inquiring statement. Charcoal orbs glimmered fiercely as she looked over at Aleshanee. At any moment the young spry little red wolf could pounce upon something... a snowflake, a bug, dare she chance it, a rabbit. Seika was wary of any sudden movement, whether it occurred or not.

A snow bank shifted and fell away as Gevaudan stood. He had fallen asleep in the open and the snow had covered him. The massive brute stretched and yawned a few times.

Tala jumped slightly, a growl emitted from her throught.(sp?) Once she recognized the brute, Tala calmed, her fur laying flat again. She met the male's gaze, dipping her head slightly in a greeting, not at all submisive mind you. Tala looked around at the pack. Almost every one was here. What now? "What do you supose became of Faded?" Tala asked the group, but the question was mostly directed at Allanon.

Allanon cast a wary glance at the brute. Gevaudan always made him wary and his sudden appearance from the snow bank made him more unsettling still. Beasts that large weren't supposed to pop out of nowhere. Allanon slid his gaze away from Gev let it scan the assembled members of the pack before coming to rest on Tala. "Who knows what befell her," he replied with a shrug. Except he was supposed to know what happened to her. She was part of his pack, she was under his protection. They all were, and yet just moments before they had all been scattered to the four winds, gone without a trace. Just as others were gone almost beyond memory.
